Cut and sewn from custom-made nylon and bamboo fabrics, Darner dress socks are designed and made in Los Angeles. Unlike traditional socks, which are fully knit, Darner socks are cut-and-sewn from custom-made nylon and bamboo rayon fabrics. The socks feature beautiful seam details, which elongate the foot and leg.
The unique cut-and-sew socks are inspired by a hosiery pattern from the late 1800's. While the name Darner comes from the nickname given to the women brought into the military during the Civil War to repair (or darn) the soldiers’ damaged socks.
